Spain Tops the Blue Flag Beach list for 2010

520 Blue Flags have been awarded to Spain’s beaches for 2010, that’s 28 new beaches from the previous year giving Spain the highest number of blue flag beaches in the world.The Balearic and Canary Islands, Galicia, Asturias, and Valencia have all increased the number of Beaches awarded the Blue Flag, only Andalucia and Catalonia have had a slight decrease.
